Paul Crowder: (06-09) Great overall player, poised to make his NHL debut this upcoming season. Certinaly deserved the M.V.P. award this season. The Rangers like to put prospects in there system for a whole year before bringing them up so expect a late season call-up to the show for Paulie. In less of course someone gets injured. Heard conflitcing reports that he signed a 1-year or 3-year AHL/NHL deal. Ranger's Blog

Curtis Glencross: 02-04 Right now the only permanent Seawolf in the NHL. Though: Duvie Wescott could come back if anybody wants him, and Jay Beagle is still recovering from a concusion. One of my favorite Seawolves ever. Loved his intensity-just what we needed to finally get to the Final Five.
WOW!

Seriously, voted most Mr.Photogenic.........

See him in video game form: !
Chris Fournier: (03-04) Great that he transferred to us from UND, sad that he just didn't have the chops for pro hockey.
John DeCaro: (04-06)
He transferred here to play Division I, and try to make it to the NHL, well he's certinaly on his way. He has signed a deal with the team that he was Goaltender of the Year twice with: Bossier-Shreveport Mugbugs of the CHL.UAA: 36gp 7-17-3 REC. 3.83 GAA .897 sv% 2SH-forgot he got 2 shutouts for us

UAA: 120 21-56–77 191
Class of 2005
Lee Green: (01-05) Solid D, I remember 2nd him most for punching then teammate and primadonna Brett Arcand-Kootneay. That's being a captain, for taking it upon himself to discipline a player acting out. Number one memory is him tying the then Nye Frontier Classic championship game against Boston College with mere seconds left. That was his only goal his freshmen year, and what a goal it was. Oh and by the way we are 3-1-1 against BC all time.
Matt Hanson: (02-05) Loved him, too bad he got in academic trouble, played mostly in the CHL, some ECHL action.
Class of 2004
Shared the net with Chris King in his time at UAA, he has bounced around from the IHL-EIHL-ECHLUAA: 70 gp 14-41-8 3.66 GAA .886 sv % 1

ECHL(06-07) Phoenix Roadrunners: 7 4-2-0 3.46 .893

Chris King:(00-04) Shared the net with Kevin Reiter here at UAA, he played his first pro season in the same league as Ted Suihkonen.

Class of 2003
At the 2009 ECHL All-Star Game:

Matt Shasby: (99-03) Stud right here. 3rd favorite D for me. ADN Story. 2-Time All-ECHL 2nd Team Selection, has played in the "A".
Had a great playoff run, for all of his career(ECHL):
49 8-16-24 30
Class of 2002
Gregg Zaporzan: (98-02) Can't believe he never really had a pro career, was our fastest skater behind my man Steve Cygan.
Corey Hessler: (98-02) This cat is still playing professional hockey, who knew? Great for him, he's played from the UHL level to AHL. Had his best year in the ECHL the season after he graduated.
UAA: 135 gp 16-18–34 pts 142 pm
Steve Cygan: (98-02) Hands down my favroite Seawolf, he was one of the fastest skaters in College Hockey in his career. I loved the way he played, he's similar to Kevin Clark, but less feisty. Because of his size he made his mark in the UHL, as opposed to as the ECHL. His best season in the ECHL was one year removed from playing for Davis Payne. Just guessing here but I'm sure he would've had his best year playing for Payne.
Class of 2001
Ted Suihkonen: (97-00) He played one pro year in Germany, I'm guessing that the league he played in was similar to ECHL level of hokcey.
Rob Douglas: (97-00) Left 1/3 of the way of his junior year here to play pro. Also, one of my favorites to play for us. Played for the Achorage Aces but made his mark over in England.
Class of 2000
Matt Williams: (96-00) He was great for us, can't understand why he only played less than a handful of pro games. In the top 5 favorite D's for me. Intresting that he got 10 penalty minutes each year for us.
Chris Pont: (95-00) Yeah that's right he played 5 season's, well 1 game before his "freshman" year. Played for the Achorage Aces, and the now defunct Fresno Falcons. Had his best year in the WCHL the season after he graduated.
Regg Simon: Assistant Coach UAA(08-10)
A great leader, I certinaly made the mistake of not fully aprecaiting what a great overall presence this guy had, and still has for us.
Here are his total coaching stats for the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL(04-08, 10-12):
285 gp 114 wins 157 losses 6 ties and 8 Overtime losses
Class of 1999
UAA Numbers: 85 gp 19-55-10 Rec. 3.33 GAA .895 Sv% 7 Shutouts(Most for any Seawolf Goaltender by the way)

9 GP 6-1-0 REC. 3.41 GAA .905 SVP 0 SHO
He then jumped around from the UHL-now-IHL, then played for the Toledo Storm (ECHL), and finally he played in the United Kingdom's BNL. His last season of pro hockey was in 04-05 for the Newcastle Vipers in the British National League.
Best Seasons:

ECHL(02-03) Toledo Storm: 47 GP 31-8-5 REC 2.89 GAA .909 SVP 1 SHO
Thursday, May 21, 2009
Anyone else notice?

UPDATED (5-10-09) : 98 and on and on and on......
Finally an update on former player's from the Sully:
The template:
Last league will be the highest up league they played in. And will be there best season (unless noted)
Doug Teskey (95-99) " Doug Teskey wasn't too shabby either!Teskey was good, very good. Unfortunately for him, his senior year was very much overshadowed by Freshman Gregg Naumenko. That's why Teskey quit the team during the playoffs." Remember that Suze?
UAA Numbers: 85 gp 19-55-10 Rec. 3.33 GAA .895 Sv% 7 Shutouts(Most for any Seawolf Goaltender by the way)
Played for the Anchorage Aces with after he quit UAA: 9 6-1-0 3.41 .905 0
He then jumped around from the UHL-now-IHL, then played for the Toledo Storm(ECHL), also they have shut down operations until next season for there new arena, and finally he played in the United Kingdom's BNL.
Best Seasons:
UHL: 50 24-13-7 2.41 .916 6
ECHL: 47 31-8-5 2.89 . 909 1
Gregg Naumenko (98-99) Had a great rookie year for us then signed a contract with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. He then played for 14 more teams from ECHL to the Ducks. Intresting that he in fact did play for the Peoria Rivermen.(of course before the Aces affalition)He is defintely in my top 10 of players to wear THE GREEN & GOLD. I think if he would've stayed one more year here, he probably could've deveolped his game more and had better pro numbers.
UAA: 29 11-13-5 2.31 .92 1
ECHL:43 24-15-3 2.91 .91 1
NHL: 2 0-1-0 6 .759 0
Klage Kaebel (96-00) This cat knew how to stay out of the box, he had only 4 whole minutes in his box at UAA. So that's an average of only 1 minute he spent in the box at his time in the WCHA. His pro career was mostly played at the CHL level(played in the WPHL-ECHL)
UAA: 123 gp 23G-19A–42P 4PIM
CHL:62 16-28-44 48
WHA2?:58 31-36-67 56
Mike Scott: 98-02 Top 5 players to wear Green & Gold in my book-that I've seen-remember I'm only 16. He still has a hellva shot, routinely had the hardest shot for all the teams he played for. Jack Michaels is quick to tell that in Scott's hay-day opponents actually got the hell away from Scott has he wound up in the ECHL for the Aces.
